Alexis Chateau PR Closed in Support of ‘A Day without Immigrants’

I’ll be hanging out over here until 12:01 AM EST 2.17.2017. Please send all business queries to the company’s email. I won’t be responding to any of those on my blog, today.

Sorry guys!

Alexis Chateau PR

Atlanta, GA – After some deliberation, Alexis Chateau PR has decided to shut down business operations for February 16, 2017, in support of A Day Without Immigrants

During this time, we will not be handling any business queries, client projects, or even routine company maintenance. Our workers were notified of the impromptu day off via email.

As an immigrant-led firm, with three foreign nationals on the team, to do otherwise would not support company and team values.

Do feel free to send us your queries. We will respond to them when regular business resumes at 12:01 AM on February 17, 2017.

…not sure it’s the right move 😦 That’ll make people who don’t like immigrants, very happy. It’s double edged. But I admire your courage.

    1. The business is closed for one day. PR isn’t a walk-in business. All my emails and client work will be sitting right there when I return.

  2. What a great concept. What if every western country were to organise a single day when all immigrants and (importantly) only immigrants were to down tools. What a strong and clear message that would send to the Republican president and other right-wing leaders, as well as those who attempt to blame all their woes on immigrant sections of their populations.

    1. Keith, actually the movement calls for worldwide involvement. I’m not sure how many people overseas will participate, or even in the US. But I can at least account for myself, my team, and my firm. 🙂

I hope the people in Washington really get it when all their restaurants are closed today! And what about their home health workers, their nannies, their yard workers…

    1. I hope so too Elizabeth. We aren’t buying, selling, conducting business, or leaving the house today.

Some people are marching in North Carolina. Haven’t heard much else yet, since I’ve mostly been off social media.
