On October 9th 2017, I turned 28 years old. I decided to celebrate 2-years-from-the-BIG-3-0 by taking a solo autumn trip to New England.
My First Real Solo Trip
Usually, when I travel, I either:
- Travel with family and friends
- Travel solo, but meet family and friends at the location
- Travel solo to an area I’m familiar with, or near an area I’m familiar with.
This time, I traveled solo to two states I’ve never been to, and met no one while I was there. Since I had no travel-buddies to take pictures of — as is my usual M.O. — I knew I would have to turn the camera on myself.
My First Vlog
In preparation for that, I bought a selfie-stick. I’m a blogger and an amateur photographer, so vlogging is new territory for me, and I really hate being on camera. But hopefully, it will all be worth it, as you guys get to see the trails in living colour, and have a bit of a one-sided chat with me.
If the video doesn’t load automatically, then you can watch it here on Facebook.
Still Blogging
For those of you who are like me, and don’t have the attention-span for watching things, I’ll still be sharing my usual travel posts in digital ink over the next few weeks — starting next Friday, the 27th of October. These daily videos I’ll be posting for a week, are just teasers leading up to that.
Thanks for watching, reading, or just stopping by! And super thanks to Elizabeth, who first suggested I take a trip to New England.
