My tiny home journey first gained momentum when I visited Joshua Tree in 2019. I left the area certain I would return and make it my home. It was amazing to go back to where it all began and to feel that same pull to the location. After travelling across the country and staying in many other small towns, Joshua Tree (and its surrounding areas) is still my favourite place in America.
Even so, when your tiny home has wheels, it’s hard to stay put in one place when you don’t need to. I guess I’ll always be the prodigal child. If the video doesn’t work below, use this link.

I was just in JTNP last summer! It was hot as hell, but absolutely, blue-sky gorgeous. The Joshua trees and rock formations are truly unique, and the place itself is very distinctive being between the Mojave and Colorado deserts. I’d love to return to camp overnight and star-gaze. I never got there but am fascinated by the unusual rocks. They are unlike many other rocks I have seen in desert settings.
They truly are amazing, especially if you enjoy running around and jumping all over them like I do! It’s also a very common spot for climbing and bouldering.
Charlie loves doing just that. I may have to let him in on the location.
Joshua Tree is lovely and good for the soul. I have been there many times as it is in my neck of the woods. Going now, with a cane, wouldn’t make much sense. LOL Your video is wonderful.

What were you doing out there for biology classes? I was really surprised the first time I visited and saw how diverse the ecosystems are out there. And sadly, also very fragile!
