In April, I got my second vaccine at the local Walmart. I had booked a solo camping trip for later that week and felt worried I might be too ill to go. It was winding down to my last few weeks in the area and I really wanted to visit the campground that gave Joshua Tree such a special place in my heart back in 2019. I also wanted to bring Samson back to the very spot that sent me looking for an FJ Cruiser and a tiny home. My symptoms only lasted for a few days, so I had the amazing opportunity to enjoy all that I had set out to do and more.
The vlogs I share on here are three weeks behind YouTube and more than a month behind my real life. Case in point: I am currently in Wyoming, not California. Samson also currently looks nothing like he does in this video.

I went to Joshua Tree last summer, and it’s truly an otherworldly place! Glad you got to go back there, and especially after being fully vaccinated! The shots look great!
Thank you! I’m glad I got to revisit Indian Cove Campground for sure. That will always be my favourite spot in JT.
I love living vicariously through your adventures! You have such a welcoming voice they are calming to watch.
Thanks, Maggie! You’re the third person to tell me my voice is very calming in these videos. đŸ˜‚
Love Joshua Tree. Sadly, the day we went it was cold and windy and I was very sick – so no walking about. Glad I did though. Love your videos.
I’m glad you got the chance to visit. Hopefully the next trip, you have much better weather. The locals told me it does get very windy there around springtime.
Yes, we were there in late March. Still – spectacular.
