RV Travel | RV Troubles at the Valley of Fire State Park

While staying at the Valley of Fire State Park, I had more than my fair share of troubles. One of my laundry buckets blew away in a wind storm and was never seen again. In fact, the wind was so horrible that I had to move my RV to lower ground. It even broke my solar panel. As if that wasn’t enough, the wind also rattled my glass window loose in the front door. I had to dismantle the window frame in the storm, remove it, fix the issue, and put it back inside.

But, why prattle on any longer? Take a look for yourself in the video below. If the embedded video doesn’t work, you can watch it at this link. To see what I’ve been up to lately, find me on Instagram!

  1. Motorhoming is full of challenges, but I am glad to see you always come on top. We’ll done, you! 👍

    1. Thank you! Today was challenging too. I tried to paint the RV and it would t adhere. Back to the drawing board!

    1. Haha, thank you! My heart was definitely pounding in my throat when I realized it was real glass. I thought it was hard plastic all along. That really upped the pressure!

  2. Get it girl! I love seeing women complete their own handy work. I too am a do-it-myselfer. There really is no better feeling than completing an intimidating task.

    1. Thank you! I felt so accomplished once I got it done. But, I imagine I might have felt differently if I had dropped that glass window! 😂

      1. You would have made it work I’m sure. I DIY’d a glass top coffee table and turned a plain piece of glass into mercury glass. It turned out amazing! If you ever do have to replace it you could get a cool stained glass piece.

      2. If I ever do replace it, I might also tint it! It’s frosted and despite fracturing the light, it’s pretty bright in the morning.

Your projects sound like fun! I’m not sure I’ve grown the kahunas for those yet! 😅

    1. Thank you! I still do need to find a permanent fix for the counters though. 😅
