Help Me Keep Up With You!

Hello Everyone!

This week, I have a terrible confession to make.Β Here goes!

As a blogger, one of the things I struggle with most is keeping up with everyone else’s blogs. Some blogs I follow just to show my support, and some I follow because I love the content. But the ones that mean the most to me are the blogs of readers I have interacted with so regularly that they have become dear friends to me in the blogosphere.

But here’s the problem. I spend hours combing through my WordPress reader each week, and often never run into even one post from these bloggers, because I follow so many! While I love to read everyone else’s posts, I can’t read them all, and first preference should always go to the people I feel most strongly connected to.

So, to all the people who are a regular presence on my blog, and find that I sometimes fall behind on keeping up with yours, please feel free to share links to your blog posts below.

If you’re not a blogger (and even if you are!), I would love to connect via social media.Β If you’re on Twitter and Instagram, or have a Facebook page for your blog that I can follow, please leave the links to those below, as well.

I can’t wait to see what presents you guys leave for me in the comments — and I hope that you will connect with each other, as well!Β πŸ™ƒ

I’ll keep republishing this throughout the year as a prompt to help you promptΒ me, so I don’t miss out on the works of the people who matter most to me. As for me, my most recent posts are:

I am grateful forΒ everyoneΒ who has supported my blog over the years, but this is only for people I connect with on a regular basis — even if you have also fallen off the bandwagon, recently.Β

      1. While Peter fishes, I read, crochet, cycle or go sightseeing. There is this amazing Spa town we go to every year in April where I enjoy some to-die-for health and beauty treatments. We both get what we want and everyone is happy.

      2. Talk about compromise! No wonder your marriage has lasted! Haha. I’m sure spa treatments do wonders for it too πŸ˜‚ I’ve never been to a spa, if you can believe it.

  1. That’s what I want, but Peter is keener on France because there are more opportunities for fishing, even though he speaks very good Spanish and not such good French! Spain makes more sense for work purposes for both of us, although he is already looking for teaching positions in British schools in both countries.

  2. Until the end of the summer. We gave up our jobs at the end of last summer, but will start looking for jobs somewhere else, but not in the UK, maybe Spain or France.

    1. Well that’s a good routine to have. How long will you guys be travelling for? Will you be on the road long-term? It sounds like it. I thought you were still teaching.

    1. Haha, some one would say the same of me. Currently, I try to post Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a reblog here and there from my other websites. I have changed my days pretty often based on what days bring in the most traffic.

How do you pick your random days?

    1. Hi there! According to WordPress, you’ve never commented on my blog before, so we’ve never spoken. I’m guessing you’re one of my silent readers, and that’s great, but this post is to help me connect with the people I engage with all the time on here. Maybe in the near future, you’ll fall into that category! For now, the link has been removed from your comment.

Thanks again for dropping by! I look forward to seeing you more often in the comments! ^_^

  3. I empathise with you wholeheartedly on that note. It is so hard to read everyone’s blog posts; I mean, there are just not enough hours in a day and one has a life to live too!!!
I too have come to consider some bloggers as friends, even though I have only managed to meet one of them in the flesh recently during my visit to Alicante and I wish I could meet more. Some of them have also added me to their personal FB page and this brings them all the closer to me, making them more than just a blog I read, but more human and real, as it should be. I no longer have a FB page for my blog, but I share my writings on my personal account. I would be more than happy to add you as a friend there too. My FB account is on my Spanish maiden name (Fatima Rosales Naya), if you’re interested. I already follow your Twitter account.

    1. Hi Fatima! I knew I couldn’t be the only one missing the blog posts from the people I most want to see. It’s a pleasure to see everyone else’s, but I really want to focus on seeing the ones from people like you, more!

We do follow each other on Twitter, haha. I think we were tweeting each other just a few days ago, Are there any posts I’ve missed latelly? Enlighten me!

Unfortunately, I don’t add my blog friends to my personal Facebook, because my mom is super paranoid about my “fame” and her privacy lol. I don’t know where she gets these things from! I’m a long way from famous! But I do use my public Facebook a lot, and interact with everyone there. Too bad it doesn’t let me comment on stuff on you guys’ personal accounts.

      1. That’s fair enough. It is important to protect your own family: there are lots of unsavoury characters out there.
I have tried to post once a week during this year break to keep my friends, family and colleagues updated as to how we are getting on and where we are. I tend to publish them on a Wednesday and, apart from the Christmas break, I think I have succeeded.

      2. Haha, yes, so I leave her with the private Facebook. A lot of my friends on there are fans of my blog though, so she still has them to deal with πŸ˜‚

Wednesday is one of my publishing days as well. I schedule my posts ahead though. Most times I’m still asleep when it goes live at 1055 AM.

  4. I’m always behind in reading posts, which is why you haven’t heard from me recently. I know what you mean by so much e-mail, but I don’t mind. I enjoy all the posts I read and yours.

    1. I turned the emails off, as they were all coming to my company’s account since my emails are synced to one. Not very good for productivity — haha. I do all my reading via the WordPress Reader. Thanks for dropping by!
