Hello Everyone!
This week, I have a terrible confession to make. Here goes!
As a blogger, one of the things I struggle with most is keeping up with everyone else’s blogs. Some blogs I follow just to show my support, and some I follow because I love the content. But the ones that mean the most to me are the blogs of readers I have interacted with so regularly that they have become dear friends to me in the blogosphere.
But here’s the problem. I spend hours combing through my WordPress reader each week, and often never run into even one post from these bloggers, because I follow so many! While I love to read everyone else’s posts, I can’t read them all, and first preference should always go to the people I feel most strongly connected to.
So, to all the people who are a regular presence on my blog, and find that I sometimes fall behind on keeping up with yours, please feel free to share links to your blog posts below.
If you’re not a blogger (and even if you are!), I would love to connect via social media. If you’re on Twitter and Instagram, or have a Facebook page for your blog that I can follow, please leave the links to those below, as well.
I can’t wait to see what presents you guys leave for me in the comments — and I hope that you will connect with each other, as well! 🙃
I’ll keep republishing this throughout the year as a prompt to help you prompt me, so I don’t miss out on the works of the people who matter most to me. As for me, my most recent posts are:
-
I’m Expanding The Moreau Witches Into a New Book, Scheduled for Publishing by the End of 2018
-
Hiking Blackrock Beach PT 1: The Prickly Savanna
-
5 Reasons You Should Celebrate Black History Month with Black Panther

I am grateful for everyone who has supported my blog over the years, but this is only for people I connect with on a regular basis — even if you have also fallen off the bandwagon, recently.

It is so hard keep up with them all…like you I try but I know I miss some. You’re always welcome over here 🙂 https://geekkat.wordpress.com/
Haha, thanks, but I already follow your blog! I’m looking for specific posts I may have missed 🙂
Hey! I’ll leave mine since I’m about to go write a post on Black Panther and we’ve been talking about that! Don’t have the specific link bc I haven’t written it much buuuut the intent is there.

I hope you enjoy it!
I already follow your blog, so a link to a specific post is easier for me to keep track of. I checked out your last review. I added The Lying Game to my reading list.
Hopefully one day you’ll be reviewing my Moreau Witches! 😄
Also followed you on social media. Already have you on Twitter, so added you on IG. 🙂
Haha on that note I don’t think you ever read my Sunshine Blogger award post. 🙂 I actually have something left from my childhood. https://adventuresfromelle.wordpress.com/2017/12/19/sunshine-blogger-award/
Thanks for the headsup!!
Hello my lovely! I don’t mind if you don’t keep up with my blog, I know you’re super busy. I do a monthly round up of my book reviews called the TL;DR ( https://lucindaisreading.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/tldr-nano-reviews-january/?preview=true) if you’re interested but no worries if it’s not your thing! X
I love book reviews actually. It helps me grow my TBR list haha. I keep track of it all on Goodreads.
I’ll bite: here is a bit of flash fiction I wrote to a prompt last week: https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/15/between-writephoto/
and the latest version of the blurb for my WIP: https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/19/the-haley-branch-blurb-take-2/
Thanks for sharing! Is that your main WIP now or just one of many you’re chugging through?
Right now The Halley Branch is my main WIP. I have 2 other finished books in rough draft, one very rough! I’m pretty much sitting on them for now, at least until I get The Halley Branch into a publishable state…
Why just sitting? Are you planning on querying, or are you going the indie route?
I am doing some research with the Halley Branch to do some queries (part of the reason for the blurb this early), but if nothing comes up I will self publish. I’m sitting on the others because I have a hard time multi-tasking my writing. If I’m working on several things I begin to mix names and things.
I plan to just go ahead and self publish this first one, on my own. I’m not a big fan of losing the rights to my work.
Yeah I get it. I used to write a lot music and did a lot of research. A lot of musical artists got screwed because someone else had the rights to their work.
Yup, or they own your name as a brand. My dad’s best friend is signed to Universal Records and we work with him on a few projects so we deal with it first-hand.
You just can’t keep up with everybody and seriously…I don’t mind 😊 Just keep writing 😊
Haha, I can’t for sure. But there are some people I would rather not miss posts from and I could use a bit of help from them, every so often, in pointing out the ones I missed. 🙂
This is a good idea. I’ve had so little time recently to read the blogs I do subscribe to. I have a small selection too, reading only those I feel provide valuable content. Not sure if you’re already subscribed to my Facebook page. Aside from my blog posts linked there, I also post links I find on the internet about freelancing and the digital economy, but also on nerdy book and film stuff, including my self-published fiction 🙂

This month, I’ve been especially bad at keeping up, but I know I’m not alone! Thanks for sharing the FB link. Just followed your page.
Thank you!
You’re welcome 🙂
I don’t like the notifications on Facebook any more, it never tells me when I get a new follow or who it is (or if they do I don’t know how to find it – it certainly isn’t the notifications). Nevertheless, I’ve found your page and followed you back 😀
I don’t always get those notifications either. Facebook does seem to make a lot of unnecessary changes, every so often. Thank you!
Good luck
Thanks — I’ll need it!
It can be overwhelming at times. I often have spurts of writing and then nothing for I while. I do always try and keep up with the blogs I follow on a regular basis. 🙂
I post regularly — about 3 times each week. My main post usually falls on a Friday. I follow a lot of blogs, so keeping up can get tricky.
I hear you! It’s hard to keep up. At one point I was at 1500 and have whittled my blog list down to 300 in the Reader, which you are included in! Cheers!
Thank you! I like the variety and the wonderful surprises in the reader, so I haven’t tried to lower my list. Also, so many blogs go inactive after just a few months. They lessen the list for you. =/
Yes I know buy just seeing a large number bothers me.😊
